WMB's Global Master Program

WMB's Global Master Program

WMB's Global Master Program is a step-up from the traditional Controlled Master Program (CMP). It is designed to coordinate multinational insurance coverage through a centrally structured master policy supported by locally admitted policies across relevant jurisdictions.

The program helps align global coverage intent with local regulatory, tax, and operational requirements to ensure consistent protection throughout an organization’s international operations.

For multinational organizations, a Global Master Program helps address challenges associated with fragmented coverage, differing local insurance regulations, varying policy wordings, and cross-border claims coordination. Through integrated structures such as Difference-in-Conditions (DIC) and Difference-in-Limits (DIL) provisions, the program can help close local coverage gaps and create greater consistency across territories.

Beyond policy placement, a Global Master Program supports centralized oversight, streamlined administration, coordinated claims management, and enhanced visibility into global risk exposures. The structure is designed to help organizations protect balance sheets, maintain compliance, and ensure coverage performs as intended when tested at the time of loss.
